The MusicMiner is an open source project initiated by me. Based upon some earlier code for a music database, we created a program that uses data mining techniques for the exploration of the personal music collection. The songs are analyzed for their musical similarity and placed upon a geographical map such that similar songs are closedby and different sounding songs are far apart or seperated by high mountains. The program is written in Java and released under the GNU Public License.
